Invite Friends Program Rules
How the Tiny Desk AI invite program works. Earn 1 point when a friend signs up with Google through your link and 10 points when they make their first purchase and first video. Every 20 points becomes 1 video credit.

Share your personal invite link. When friends join and buy through it, you earn points, and every 20 points becomes 1 video credit (1 credit = 1 Tiny Desk AI video). The friend you invite does not receive points. Rewards go to the person who shared the link. Your link and balance live on the invite page once you are signed in.
How points are earned

Ten points is half a video, so two friends who each buy and make a video earn you one.
The conditions, in plain words
Sign-up point (+1). All of these must be true:
- The friend created a new account through your link. Someone who already had an account does not count.
- Their email is verified. In practice that means only friends who sign up with Google earn the sign-up point. A friend who signs up with an email and password does not, though their first purchase still counts.
- They signed up from a different network than you. Accounts created on the same network as yours do not earn a sign-up point.
- Neither account has been closed.
First-purchase reward (+10). All of these must be true:
- It is the friend's first paid order. If that order is refunded or disputed, the reward is cancelled for good and later orders do not replace it.
- The order was paid at least 7 days ago, which matches our 7-day refund window.
- The friend made at least one video that finished successfully. If they have not within 90 days of paying, the reward is cancelled.
- The order has no refund or dispute on it, and your account is open.
Purchase rewards do not look at the network, because friends and family often share one.
Links expire with the friend's browser: the invite is remembered for 30 days from the first visit through your link, and the first link a person uses wins.
About the credits you earn
- Credits earned from invites are used exactly like purchased credits, for Solo and Band videos, and they never expire.
- Invite points and the credits they become cannot be refunded, cashed out or transferred, and they are not covered by the refund policy.
- If a friend's first order is later refunded or disputed after you were paid, we take back the 10 points. If you still hold an unused invite credit, it is withdrawn and 20 points are returned to your balance. If the credit is already used, your balance may go below zero until you earn more; nothing is taken from credits you bought.
- If you close your account, unused points and invite credits are void.
What is not allowed
- Inviting yourself, or creating accounts to collect points.
- Spam, misleading posts, or offering money or prizes for sign-ups.
- Pretending that Tiny Desk AI is affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts or any artist.
We may withhold or reverse rewards from activity that looks like abuse, hold unusual volumes for manual review, and close accounts that break these rules.
Tell people you get a reward
If you post your link, say that you get rewards when people sign up. Many countries require this for referral links (in the United States, the FTC Endorsement Guides). The text the Invite friends and Share buttons copy already includes it:

Before sharing a video that shows other people, such as a Band video, check that everyone in it agrees.
Changes to the program
We can pause, change or end the program. Changes are announced here in advance, and credits already added to your account are not affected.
